How I Create Value

Leadership is rarely about having all the answers.

It is about asking better questions.

I bring more than 30 years of international experience across shipping, offshore wind, entrepreneurship, technology and strategic growth.

My background includes international leadership roles with A.P. Møller Maersk, six years on the Board of Cadeler during its transformation from startup to international offshore wind leader, and my current role as Board Member of European Maritime Finance.

Today I contribute to boards and leadership teams through governance, strategic growth, green transition, entrepreneurship and the practical use of artificial intelligence.

Board Work

I believe good governance begins with curiosity, preparation and respectful dialogue.

A board member does not need to have every answer.

The responsibility is to understand the business, remain independent and ask the questions that help management and fellow board members make better decisions.

I value calm judgement, clear communication and the ability to challenge constructively while maintaining trust.

Strategy and Long Term Value

I believe strategy is about clarity.

Not complexity.

The role of a board is not simply to supervise management. It is to help create long term value through sound decisions, independent thinking and the courage to address difficult questions.

My experience spans established international companies, early stage ventures and businesses undergoing transformation and growth.

Maritime and Offshore Wind

Shipping and maritime industries have shaped much of my professional life.

At A.P. Møller Maersk, I held international leadership roles across operations, chartering and commercial development.

Later, as an early stage partner and Board Director in the company that became Cadeler, I helped build a business focused on making offshore wind installation more efficient and commercially sustainable.

This experience gives me a practical understanding of global shipping, offshore energy, major contracts, capital intensive growth and the green transition.

Entrepreneurship

Throughout my career, I have founded and helped build companies in very different industries.

Shipping. Renewable energy. Healthcare. Consumer products. Technology.

Entrepreneurship has taught me how strategy, capital, execution and people must work together.

I understand both the ambition of founders and the responsibility of boards and investors.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is changing every industry.

The opportunity is not simply to replace people. It is to help people think, communicate and make better decisions.

My approach is practical rather than theoretical. I use AI extensively in strategy, communication, governance, fundraising and product development.

I am particularly interested in how boards can use AI responsibly while maintaining human judgement, trust and accountability.

Creativity

Alongside my maritime and business career, I founded Ugly Duckli.

It is a creative universe built around Danish culture, storytelling and meaningful experiences.

It is also my creative sanctuary.

It reminds me that innovation often begins when different worlds, ideas and people are allowed to meet.
